The Cherubic Chipmunk

This one is half Cherub and half Chipmunk; the Cherub part was added because she might one day read this blog.

She's sugar and spice, sweet and sassy. She gently brushes the hair off my face to give me a kiss and her questions never stop. She bosses her brothers around and thinks she's class monitor and that she has special privileges because she's elected herself my right hand lady. Our world changed for the better when she arrived, sprinkling fairy dust everywhere.

The Real Cherub

The minute the second child is conceived, he's already got a benchmark to live up to. The pregnancy is compared to the previous one... and it never stops... unless we make a conscious effort to stop it.

He had his own idea of what his blanket should be like, not a combination I would have chosen, but it was perfect. Perfect for him.The dinosaur pattern is so him, with his imagination and love for animals... but so is the whale pattern, the're something deep and unassuming with this little wise man.

The First Cherub

Time passes too fast, from the young, naive mom that I was, carrying his 2.5kg self for the first time and he's now on a adult sized bed and almost my height.

He's got a genuinely good heart, a strong sense of right and wrong, is dreamy, mischievous and loves people. My firstborn, the one who had me completely when I gave up my carrier to be his mom, then kept giving a bit more of me away with each sibling... and now hardly has time with me at all. 

I love him with all my heart and I pray I don't make too many mistakes bringing him up...
